Where to Eat in LA & Anime Expo 2013 Day 3 | Part 2

Where to Eat in LA
As a tourist and being my first time on the west coast, in Downtown LA, I did a little research about the best places to eat at. I'm a big fan of Yelp when it comes to food. Here's a few of the yummy spots I checked out:
1. Daikokuya
With over 4000 reviews on Yelp, this is probably the best ramen place in Cali (with Ippudo and Totto Ramen taking that title in New York, in my opinion)
I ordered the Daikoku Ramen (noodle soaked in hot broth) and the Tsukemen (noodle out of broth), different ways of eating it, but both very delicious. Be prepared for an hour to 1.5 hour wait. I suggest going at an odd time. I went around 4:30pm on Sunday so the wait was about half an hour.
2. Bottega Louie
With nearly 6000 reviews on Yelp, it takes the #1 most rated hot spot in downtown LA. This place also has a long wait. Me and my fiance ordered the Artichoke pizza (Roasted artichokes, chèvre, mozzarella, tomato sauce, cherry tomatoes, Italian parsley, fleur de sel & extra virgin olive oil) and their popular Portobello fries (yes it is actually friend sticks of mushroom!)
3. Urth Caffe
My friends found this lovely little spot that served great fresh coffee and breakfast entrees. I wish I lived in LA so I could come here all the time!
We tried their Monkey Granita (organic matcha green tea, organic Rooibos Espresso or Urth’s heirloom espresso in a fresh banana milkshake) and Eggs Salmone (Urth brioche, natural smoked salmon, basil oil and baby arugula, topped with two soft poached organic eggs and lemon creme fraiche served with sliced seasonal melon), and this Smoked Salmone Pizza which i can't find the description for.
My friend tried their Spanish Latte Granita which is like a creamy and sweet iced latte. It was sooo good, wish I had gotten that too!
Anime Expo Day 3
It is the most packed day of the convention with a lot of amazing cosplays. I wore my Hatsune Miku Append vers. cosplay. I debuted this costume last year at Otakon and wore it again this year at Anime Next. This will probably be the last time I wear it. It was the first costume I made pretty much completely from scratch. I will dedicate a future post on details of how I made it, so follow my blog if you'd like to see more!
