Friday, August 19, 2016

Kawaii Box is a monthly kawaii filled subscription box.  You get to receive cute items from Japan & Korea every month.  You can sign up for a box before the end of the current month and then it is shipped to you at the beginning of the next month.  Each box includes 10-12 hand-picked Japanese and Korean kawaii items.  Everything from Japanese candy to stationary & beauty accessories.  The shipping is also free anywhere in the world!  They have several subscription plans to choose from to suit your preference and budget.  The one month and three month plan are $19.80/month.  The six month plan is 18.80/month and the 1 year plan is $17.90/month.  You get automatic entry into their Kawaii Megabox raffle, valued over US$100!  You can also share your unboxing on social media with hashtag #kawaiibox to enter.

I am really excited to collaborate with them and share my unboxing with my readers.  Kawaii Box sent me their July 2016 box.  I got a shipping notice on August 1st and it arrived on August 15th.  Exactly 2 weeks (estimate is 1-2 weeks).  They are also giving away a FREE kawaii box to one of my readers!  So keep reading to see how to enter below.

My box came a bit crushed but it's expected since the boxes are shipped from Singapore.

They include a card listing all the items in the box.

The first thing I noticed was this cute little round mint neko plushie charm!  It looks you could have received any of the 3 colors (mint/pink/grey), but I would have loved any of them.  Will definitely hang this on my bags.

This box included 2 snacks.  The Tohato caramel corn is a corn snack with caramel corns and roasted peanuts.  I think I've seen this at Asian supermarkets before and was curious about them.  Happy to get to try them now.  The other snack is a soft candy stick.  I just tried it today and it was very yummy.  It was very chewy and soft like taffy candy.  I got the grape soda flavor.

There was a kawaii plastic comb and pill case. The designs for these are randomly selected and I'm glad I got a bunny design for both!  They will be easy to throw in my purse when I go out.

You can never have enough stationary supplies so this gel pen and card case were a nice addition.  My pen has a random cactus design and the card case has lemons on it.  I think I would have preferred the other design options I saw but these are still cute.  Will probably use it to put my train card.

Jump Rope

This was a bit random but there was a multi-colored plastic jump rope.  It's pretty useful, but I didn't open it yet to see if its long enough for an adult.  I will probably gift it to my niece.

I used to love collecting cute stickers as a kid.  So I'm very happy to receive these heart, box, and cherry puffy stickers.  I also used to deco bling my phone cases and random things so these pink deco stickers will be fun to use.

Last but not least, a pusheen sleep mask!  This was my favorite item in the box!  I actually saw one of the Kawaii Box ads showing a picture of this sleep mask and really wanted it.  I think they had it in one of their older boxes, so its nice to see they brought it back after popular demand.  This definitely made the box worth it.  This will be perfect to bring on the plane for my upcoming trip to Korea and Japan.

Overall, I am very happy with my first kawaii box.  I was really hoping they would have one of my favorite licensed characters in the box and they did!  I believe the box was worth the value (I calculated it to be at least $25).  You'll save even more if you have a 6-month or 1 year subscription. And if you are interested in any of the items you've seen in a previous box you may be able to find it on their online shop with free shipping worldwide.

Kawaii Box is sponsoring a giveaway on my blog.  Enter below for a chance to win their next box!  The winner will be contacted when the giveaway ends and it will be sent directly from Kawaii Box.  Good luck!
