What to Wear to a Wedding?

It's been a while since I've made a wedding post and even though it's been a year since my wedding day, I can't help but still think about weddings.  It was something I really enjoyed planning and sharing with my readers.  Today I wanted to write about how to dress for a wedding as a guest.  It's that time of year again when your invited to a lot of weddings and your not sure what to wear.  I've created this post with some ideas from The Black Tux to give you some tips on how to dress your best at every type of wedding event.

I took a look into my closet and put together a few essential looks for different events types and seasons.  For a spring or summer wedding such as an outdoors or beach ceremony, I would like to dress in florals and light colors.  I paired a flowy floral maxi dress with some nude sandals.

For a fall or winter wedding, I would suggest warm colors like dark blues, greens, or purples.  Lace is also great for this season so I paired a royal blue dress with some suede pumps.  If its chilly, tights would work well with this look too.

Semiformal weddings are the most common for me, so when I just can't think of what to wear, I'll go with a little black dress.  Off the shoulder is a popular look now, so I paired a simple off the shoulder dress with some statement nude d'orsay heels and red clutch.

Men have as much trouble as women on what to wear to weddings.  I recently heard of an online rental tux company called The Black Tux which offers ready-to-go looks or you can create your own custom look.  All you have to do is give your measurements and they will send you your suit a week before your event in case there are any issues.  After your event you just use the pre-paid return label and ship it back in the box.

The Black Tux has shared a really informative style guide with me that I would like to share here with you.

I hope these tips were helpful for when you think about what to wear to your next wedding!
